Team UBG Cycling - Group Rides

Team UBG welcomes riders of all abilities and disciplines.


No pro-level gear required—just a bike, a helmet, and the desire to improve. You’ll always find supportive teammates ready to share tips, mechanical know-how, or a wheel to follow. To join group rides, riders should comfortably hold a 17 mph+ rolling average (adjustable for wind, terrain, or group dynamics) for at least 20 miles with scheduled regroups.


New to group riding? We’ve got you. Before the ride begins just speak with one of our ride leaders and we'll do our best to make you feel welcome and safe. Every UBG rider started as a beginner.

Pace Groups - Choose Wisely:


Riders typically ride in separate groups based on their fitness, skill level, preferred route and distance. Groups form at the start location and will vary upon number of attending members, weather conditions, etc. Please make yourself familiar with criteria before riding with a particular group.

Saturday Shorty - Casual & Welcoming:


Kick off with our Saturday Shop Rides—perfect for social spins and skill-building. Each Saturday we do a short 23 mile loop through Houston. We have 3 pace groups to choose from and incorporate 2 sprint zones into the ride.



Sunday Roll Outs - Casual with some distance:


Our Sunday Shop Rides are great for building endurance. Each Sunday our ride leaders will choose a route with distances ranging between 35 - 55 miles. Depending on group size we'll have groups to choose from and incorporate 2 sprint zones into the ride.


Route Varies: Typical distance is 35-55 Miles.

Wednesday Evening Blast - Weeknight Lights:


Join UBG Wednesday night's for a solid B group pace ride. We'll roll out west bound toward Cypress with head lights and tail lights illuminating our way!
